The USC Salkehatchie men's soccer team dropped one against Region X foe Spartanburg Methodist today in Allendale, South Carolina. The Pioneers scored once early in the first half and again early in the second half on a free kick. The Indians had several missed shots on goal and in the end came up short. The Indians are now 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in Region X play.

USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians fall to Spartanburg Methodist 2-0

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians soccer team fell to 0-2 on the season and 0-2 in Region X play as they were defeated 2-0 by Spartanburg Methodist. The Lady Indians gave up 2 early goals but played brilliantly as they shut down the Lady Pioneers in the 2nd half.

The Lady Indians had several shots on goal but were unable to score. The Lady Indians game that was sheduled for this Monday (Labor Day) has been cancelled. For more information scroll down the page.

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians softball coach Mitch Smith released his Fall softball schedule today and the Lady Indians will be facing some well established programs. The Fall schedule games do not count towards the Lady Indians overall record and stats will not be kept of these games.

USC Salkehatchie men win opener~!

The USC Salkehatchie men's soccer team traveled to Brewton Parker today to take on their JV squad. When the match was over, the Indians left with a 1-0 record, defeating Brewton-Parker JV 2-0.

The Indians will be at home this Saturday to take on Region X foe Spartanburg Methodist at 3:00 pm.

Lady Indians suffer tough loss against Cape Fear CC 3-2

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians drew first blood when freshman Shannon Shafer(Wade Hampton) scored her first collegiate goal to start the game. She had previously scored in several scrimmages but it was her first in the regular season.

The Lady Indians would score again before the half when Ebony Davies (Newport, Australia) drove one in from 10-feet out.

In the second half it looked as the Lady Indians were on cruise control until starting goal keeper Zafiro Panikitas ( West Richmond, Australia) had to leave the game after making a stop on goal.

With 15-minutes left in the match, Cape Fear Community College would keep the ball on their end and would eventually score 3-goals to get the win.

The Lady Indians drop to 0-1 on the season and 0-1 in Region X play, they will be home again this Saturday as they take on Spartanburg Methodist another Region X rival at 1:00 pm.

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians soccer team will take the field at 4:00 pm today for their season opener. The match is against Cape Fear Community College, a Region X opponent.
