Lady Indians struggle against Middle Georgia~Lose 5-0

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians soccer team found themselves in a hole early against Middle Georgia and in the end they were unable to find the goal. USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians softball hosts first fall scrimmage

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians softball team got underway with their fall schedule today. The Fall schedule is played in a scrimmage format and scores and stats are not reported or kept. However, I wanted to show everyone that our Lady Indians are working hard and we are all excited about what the spring schedule will bring!!!!

USC Salkehatchie Men fall 3-0 against Middle Georgia

The USC Salkehatchie men's soccer team came out and fought hard in the first half, only giving up one goal late in the half.

In the second half, Middle Georgia found the goal twice more to take a 3-0 lead with 10 minutes left in the match. The score would hold and Middle Georgia would notch the win. For complete details on today's game, go to www.uscsalkathletics.com this Friday.

Injury Note:

The Indians had one play that left the match mid-way through the first half with an injury, he was taken to the local hospital, no further details are available at this time.

Lady Indians Fall Softball Schedule Starts Tomorrow-HOME!

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians Fall schedule starts tomorrow (9-19-09) at home in Allendale, South Carolina. The Lady Indians will be facing the Low country Legends starting at 12:00 noon. The game is open to the public and you are all invited to attend.

The Fall schedule games do not count in any standings and no scores or stats are kept concerning the games.

A look at the incoming Impact Freshmen for the USC Salkehatchie men's basketball program!

A look at the 2009-10 incoming impact freshmen on the USC Salkehatchie basketball team, according to head coach Travis Garrett.

Nate Drayton 6-6 240 F Savannah, GA Groves HS. Strong athletic power forward who can step out and shoot 3’s. He must make an impact inside if we are going to compete.


Darnell Jackson 6-3 205 G Savannah, GA Savannah HS. Strong Guard who can play multiple positions on the floor, a great re bounder for his size and he can really score.


Javaris Jacob 6-7 210 F Orlando, FL, Evans HS. Lefty combo forward who can face up and shoot the three or drive an attack the basket. He has an unbelievable 6-11 wing span. Very good at blocking shots.


Danny James 6-3 182 G, Darlington, SC Darlington HS. High energy guard that is a good shooter and competes on both ends.


Fredrick Hargrove 6-7 185 F, Eatonton GA, Putman Co. HS. High energy player who is the ultimate glue player in which he does all the little things that helps you win basketball games. Very good re bounder.


Randal Black 6-5 183 G. Cleveland, OH, Winsor Forest HS. The best shooter in my program. I think all guards must be able to make open shots and he does that.


Stanley Ankrah 6-8 210 F Toronto, Ontario, Father Henry Carr HS. Combo forward who can step out or play inside, very good passer good defender.


Darrell Dease 5-10 G Bennettsville, SC, Marlboro HS. Strong guard who can really shoot great understanding of the game and he will fit well because he will be familiar with my system.

Indians soccer teams set to host Middle Georgia on Saturday

VS

The USC Salkehatchie men's and women's soccer teams will be back in action this Saturday (9-17-09) at home in Allendale, South Carolina. The Indians will be hosting Middle Georgia college in a double-header match-up.

The men start at 1:00 pm and the women will follow at 3:00 pm.

Be sure to check the blog for updates from the game and as soon as it is over, I will be adding pictures and posting the final score!

Indians mens soccer team drops one against Cape Fear CC

The USC Salkehatchie mens soccer team suffered a heartbreaking loss after leading Cape Fear Community College 2-0 at the half.

Cape Fear would score twice back to back midway through the second half and would force the game to overtime.

The Indians would play well for several overtime periods before Cape Fear finally scored to win the game 3-2.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians men's soccer team is still underway late in the second half against Cape Fear CC. The score is tied 2-2, once the final is available, I will post on blog.
