Indians unable to produce any runs in game 1

The USC Salkehatchie Indians had several base runners in scoring position throughout the contest but were unable to produce any runs. The Indians lost by a final of 5-0 to Georgia Military.

Freshman Leigh Hite (Gilbert, South Carolina) takes the loss for the Indians, she is now 6-8 on the season.

USC Salkehatchie softball at home Thursday March 25th 1-3 pm

The USC Salkehatchie softball team will be back at home tomorrow (3-25) against Georgia Military College in Allendale, South Carolina. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:00 and 3:00 pm. This game will mark the first time the Indians have been at home since March 6th.

The Indians are 11-6 overall and 5-3 in Region X.

The USC Salkehatchie bookstore will open this Sunday 3-28-10 to give USC Salkehatchie baseball and softball fans a chance to shop Salkehatchie!

The USC Salkehatchie Bookstore will be open this Sunday afternoon (3-28) from 2-4 p.m. in Allendale to accommodate baseball and softball fans attending the games.

We hope, between games, you will take the time to walk over to the bookstore in the Science Building to shop Salkehatchie!

Indians get swept by Georgia Perimeter as they drop game 2

The USC Salkehatchie Indians drop game 2, 14-0 . The Indians never were able to get the bats going in either game.

The Indians were able to muster 7 hits in game 2.

Sophomore Dustin Pannell (Aiken, South Carolina) took the loss for USC Salkehatchie he goes to 0-4 on the season.

Freshman Yordon Mateo (Augusta, Georgia) came in for relief of Pannell in the bottom of the 6th, his six appearance this season. He only pitched to four batters giving up 1 hit and 3 walks before being pulled for freshman Kyle Pittman (Westminister, South Carolina).

Big inning for Georgia Perimeter College add 5-runs~

USC Salkehatchie unable to get the bats going today at GPC, they trail 6-0 as we go to top of 5th.

Again the announcers are unsure if the coaches agreed to the 10-run mercy rule after the 5th inning. In game 1, the coaches agreed to play the entire game even though USC Salkehatchie was down by 10 after the 5th.

Flood gates open again in bottom of 2nd~

Georgia Perimeter scores 4 in the bottom of the 2nd to open up a big 6-0 lead as the Indians come to the plate in the top of the 3rd.

Indians drop game 1 against Georgia Perimeter College in Cochran, Georgia

The USC Salkehatchie Indians baseball team had a tough game 1 against Georgia Perimeter College on the road in Cochran, Georgia this afternoon.

The Indians defense had an even tougher day in the field committing 6 errors in the contest.

Freshman Terrance DeVoe took the loss for the Indians, he falls to 2-2 on the season.

Indians drop to 9-15-1 overall and remain 5-6-1 in Region X play.

Indians having tough game 1 at Georgia Perimeter College

The coaches agreed prior to the game to continue playing even if either team got up by 10-runs after the 5th inning. The game is scheduled for 7-innings.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians find themselves in a hole as they give up 5-runs in the bottom of the 4th.

The Indians have 2 hits in the game.

USC Salkehatchie at Georgia Permeter in Covington, GA-Tuesday March 23rd

The USC Salkehatchie baseball team will travel to Covington, Georgia on Tuesday to take on Georgia Perimeter College.
The first pitch of game 1 is scheduled for 2:00 pm, they will be playing a doubleheader.

If you are planning to make the trip, look at post below for driving directions.

USC Salkehatchie Indians softball schedule NOTICE~

If you have viewed the USC Salkehatchie softball media guide, you will notice it has the Indians listed as playing at home against Aiken Technical College on March 23rd.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians VS Aiken Technical College game scheduled March 23rd has been canceled.

Aiken Technical College has suspended their softball program for this season and the March 23rd game and the April 14th in Aiken, South Carolina listed in the media guide will no longer be played.

The schedule on http://www.uscsalkathletics.com/ is correct if you have any questions regarding the schedule.

The Indians softball team will be back in action March 26th at home against South Georgia College with the games starting at 1:00 and 3:00 pm.Please pass the word around about the Aiken Technical College game.

Indians lose series 3 games to 1 against Florence Darlington Technical College

The USC Salkehatchie dropped game 4 of the 4 game series after winning game 3 earlier today 5-3.

The Indians fell behind early 3-0 but rallied in the 5th to pick up 1 run.

Sophomore Ryan Rowe (Newberry, SC) took the loss for the Indians after throwing a complete game. He is now 2-2 on the season.

The Indians managed only 3 hits, while giving up 7.

The Indians are now 9-14-1 overall and 5-6-1 in Region X.

They will be back in action Tuesday March 23rd against Georgia Perimeter in Covington, Georgia in a double header. The first pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm.

We will be back home next weekend for a Region X match up against USC Lancaster (Sat and Sun)

After a deep bomb in the top of the 4th by Florence Darlington Technical College the Indians trail 3-0.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians had their chances so far in game 4. In the first inning they left runners on 1st and 3rd and in the 2nd inning a runner was left on 3rd.

After 2 in Allendale,SC the score is 2-0 Florence Darlington.

USC Salkehatchie takes game 3 of 4 game series against Florence Darlington Tech 5-3

Sophomore Bobby Wilkins (Gaffney, SC) pitched his fourth complete game in a row and takes home the win in game 3 for the Indians. He gave up 8-hits in 7 innings and had 8-strike outs.

Wilkins improves to 3-1 on the season.

The Indians are now 9-13-1 overall and 5-5-1 in Region X.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians retake the lead in the bottom of the 5th as freshman Robert Assemany (Chapin, South Carolina) drives in a run with 2-outs in the inning.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians had a 3-0 lead headed to the top of the 5th after an error the Stingers rallied for 3-runs.

USC Salkehatchie VS Florence Darlington RAIN DELAY~ Set to start at 2:30

The USC Salkehatchie Indians baseball game today VS Florence Darlington scheduled for 1:00 pm today in Allendale, South Carolina is currently under a rain delay.

According to USC Salkehatchie head coach Bubba Dorman, the rain should be moving out of the area around 2:00 and he expects to get underway at 2:30 pm this afternoon.

I will keep everyone informed of any changes as the become available.

As of 12 noon, the USC Salkehatchie VS Florence Darlington Tech baseball game is still on for 1:00 pm this afternoon. It is currently a light rain in the area but it is expected to move out for several hours, allowing baseball to be played.
