The USC Salkehatchie Indians Lady softball team struggled today with the bats against Spartanburg Methodist College. The Lady Indians unable to score any runs in game 1, fell 3-0.Sophomore Samantha Martin took the loss for the Indians.
In game 2, the Indians bats came alive several times in the contest but were unable to produce any runs until the bottom of the 5th. The final was SMC 12, USC Salkehatchie 2, sophomore Leigh Hite earned the loss in game 2.
The Lady Indians fall to 4-10 and 1-7 in Region X play.
They will face again on Sunday for two more games to decide the series, the first pitch is scheduled for 12 noon.
