The USC Salkehatchie Indians baseball team extended their current winning streak to 4-games as the defeated #8 ranked South Georgia on Thursday in Douglas, Georgia.
In game 1, it took the Indians extra-innings (9) to take care of South Georgia behind the arm of winning pitcher, freshman Jason Ritter. Freshman Nick Smiley started the game for the Indians but earned a no-decision.
In game 2, the Indians took care of business early with an outstanding performance on the mound by freshman Adrian Rivero. Rivero, threw 6-innings giving up only 5-hits and 1-earned run.
The Indians are now 6-7 on the season, they will be back in action on Saturday against Stanley Community College in a double-header which will start at 2:00 pm.
On Sunday the Indians will again face Stanley Community College in a single 9-inning game, game-time is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
