Former USC Salkehatchie Indians baseball player Travis Howard, now with USC Aiken was recently named to the 2009 Daktronics, Inc. All-America Baseball Team as a first team member. Howard from Bonneau, SC came to USC Salkehatchie as a freshman back in the fall of 2006. Upon graduation from USC Salkehatchie, he transfered to NCAA Division II-USC Aiken in Aiken, South Carolina.
This past season, his first at USC Aiken, Howard lead the nation in RBI's (103), tying the Peach Belt record, while breaking the USC Aiken record formerly held by current Colorado Rockies (MLB) organizationally player-Chad Jacobsen (97).
