The NJCAA has released its Division I, II and III Men's Basketball All-Americans for the 2009-2010 season. The selections were made by each division's respective basketball committee at the 2010 NJCAA Annual Meeting held March 24-27 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
USC Salkehatchie sophomore 6' 2 guard Brandon Riley (Eatonton, Georgia) who was selected as the Region X player of the year, was recently named to the NJCAA All-American basketball team (Honorable Mention).
He averaged 19.3 points per game in 29-games played this season. He scored a team high 561 points.
USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett said, " Brandon is a great player, he will be a great find for his next coach. It is great to watch him play during a game, he understands the game and picks things up easily. He had a great year and he will be missed next season. I love it when our kids do great things and Brandon deserves this honor."
Riley is the first USC Salkehatchie Indian to be named to the NJCAA All-American team since the program was restarted three years ago.
