USC Salkehatchie women make it two in a row, men lose heart breaker in 2nd OT

The USC Salkehatchie women's soccer team scored two late goals to earn a 2-0 victory at home against Region X foe, USC Lancaster.

The Indians are now 2-6 overall and 1-3 in Region X play. They will be back in action on Saturday against Oxford College at 1:00 pm.

The USC Salkehatchie men held tough for the entire game today in Allendale, South Carolina against Cape Fear CC. The game was tied at the half 1-1 and would remain that way at the end of regulation.

Neither team would score in the first over-time but in the second, Cape Fear CC found the net to earn a 2-1 victory.

The Indians are now 2-4 overall and 1-2 in Region X.

They will be back in action on Saturday against Region X rival Wake Tech CC at 3:00 pm.

Don't forget that we have TWO home soccer matches this afternoon in Allendale, South Carolina.

The USC Salkehatchie women kick things off at 2:00 pm against USC Lancaster a Region X foe. The men's team will follow at 4:00 pm in a Region X match-up against Cape Fear CC.

Today is also "SGA Pack The Stands Day", wear your Garnet and Gold and support the Indians, enoy free food and free t-shirts while they last!!

USC Salkehatchie women's soccer team earns 1st victory of season, men stumble~

The USC Salkehatchie men started off the afternoon in Barnesville, Georgia against host Gordon College. The Indians coming off a come from behind victory on Friday, was unable to find the net today and fell 3-0.

The women's soccer team finally broke their scoring drought to take a 1-0 win against Gordon College, today's win was their first of the season.

Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday September 14th with the women starting at 2:00 pm against USC Lancaster and the men scheduled to take on Cape Fear CC at 4:00 pm. The games on Tuesday are Region contests.

Tuesday, September 14 - SGA sponsors Pack the Stands at the soccer matches. Come out for the women's match vs. USC Lancaster at 2 and the men's match vs. Cape Fear Community College at 4 and wear your school colors - garnet and gold - and get free snacks and free t-shirts while they last. Van from Walterboro will go leaving gym at 12:45. First come, first served for rides!

USC Salkehatchie men's soccer wins, women come up short...

The USC Salkehatchie men and women traveled to Barnesville, Georgia to take on Meridian College on Friday and host team Gordon College today. The USC Salkehatchie men won in dramatic fashion on Friday, scoring two late goals to earn a 5-3 win. The USC Salkehatchie women's scoring woes continued as they lost another close one 1-0.

They are playing Gordon College today and as soon as we have the final results, I will post here on the blog.

The USC Salkehatchie soccer teams headed to Barnesville, Georgia for games-(Friday-Saturday)

The USC Salkehatchie men's and women's soccer teams are headed to Gordon College in Barnesville, Georgia for a pair of games on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday, the women will kick things off with a 5:00 pm game against Meridian College and the men will follow at 7:00 pm, also against Meridian College.

On Saturday both teams will face the host team Gordon College, the men are up first at 1:00 pm. The women will follow at 5:00 pm.

The 2010-2011 USC Salkehatchie Indians softball team has started practice under the guidance of first year head coach Tatjana Slawson. The Indians will be competing in a "Fall" schedule in which stats and game finals won't be posted per NJCAA rules. Please be sure to check the blog often for USC Salkehatchie softball updates.

The USC Salkehatchie women's soccer team continued their scoring woes today against Cape Fear CC in Allendale, South Carolina. The Indians were undermanned as several players are out with injuries.

The score was 1-0 Cape Fear CC at the half but they would score 4 more in the second half to win 5-0.

The Indians are now 0-5 on the season and 0-3 in Region X play.

They play again on Friday against Meridian College in Barnesville, Georgia at Gordon College.
