USC Salkehatchie softball team will face Pitt Community College on Saturday at 2:00 pm~

The USC Salkehatchie softball team will face Pitt Community College on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Pitt CC the #1 seeded team in the Region X softball tournament has only lost several Region X games this season and one was to USC Salkehatchie. The Indians will look to run their Region X tournament record to 2-0 after beating Surry CC 1-0 today.

Be sure to check the blog often on Saturday as we will have a "Live" scoreboard throughout the game.

I have been asked by many parents here at the Region X softball tournament about Region X action shots. I was told by USC Salkehatchie head coach Mitch Smith that the region has a professional photographer here on site taking photographs of players from each team. USC Salkehatchie VS Surry Community College Region X softball tournament Indians WIN game 1!!!!


USC Salkehatchie strands Symone Nettles on 3rd with no out in top of 6th.
Indians still lead 1-0 heading to top of 4th

USC Salkehatchie leads Surry Community College 1-0 as they head to the bottom of the 2nd. If you notice I have Salkehatchie in the bottom of the scoreboard, I will try and correct this as the game goes on.

Sophomore Leigh Hite (Gilbert, SC) is on the mound for the Indians.

Admission is $6.00 daily, a 2-day pass is $10.00 and a 3-day ticket is $15.00

If the Indians defeat Surry Community College on Friday at 2:00 pm, they will play again on Saturday at 2:00 pm. If the Indians were to lose game 1, they will play again on Saturday at 12:00 pm.

GAME 2 Final against Spartanburg Methodist College


The USC Salkehatchie Indians have lost game 2, 15-4 to Spartanburg Methodist College. SMC scored 9-runs in top 3rd on only 4 hits but the Indians committed 6 errors in the inning.

Dustin Pannell takes the loss for th Indians.

Sophomores Sam Crosby and Javon Sanders hit solo home runs for the Indians.


The Indians finish the season 12-37-1 and 6-22-1 in Region X

USC Salkehatchie leads 2-0 headed to top 3rd


The Indians are leading #7 ranked Spartanburg Methodist College 2-0 as we head to the top of the 3rd.
Sophomore Dustin Panell is now on the mound for the Indians.

USC Salkehatchie falls in game 1, 6-3


The Indians scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th after an hour and a half rain delay, it wouldn't be enough in the end and the Indians fell 6-3.
Game 2 is currently underway and the Indians lead 1-0 in the bottom of the 2nd.
Freshman DJ Lawson is on the mound for the Indians.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians VS Spartanburg Methodist College game 1 is currently under a rain delay in Allendale, South Carolina.


The game is in the bottom of the 6th and the Indians are trailing 6-0 with a runner on 1st and no outs.

USC Salkehatchie FINAL home game Tuesday at 4:00 pm (Double Header)

The USC Salkehatchie Indians will be at home Tuesday against Spartanburg Methodist College at 4:00 pm. The Indians will play a double header and everyone is invited for the final two games of the season, hope to see you out at the park!

Indians drop game 4, swept by Pitt Community College


The USC Salkehatchie Indians went into the weekend with several pitchers banged up. Coach Bubba Dorman knew it was going to be rough as they would face Pitt CC, one of the best teams in the NJCAA.

His worries came to pass as the Indians were swept by Pitt Community College in four games this weekend.
The Indians are now 12-35-1 and 6-20-1 in Region X with two games remaining on April 27th in Allendale, South Carolina against Spartanburg Methodist College (the games do not count in the Region X standings)
