CHARLESTON, S.C. – Former Charleston Southern pitcher Ali Williams was recently promoted to the Double-A Northwest Arkansas Naturals, part of the Kansas City Royals organization.
Williams, who made 22 appearances for CSU in 2011 before being drafted by the Royals in the 34th round of the Major League Baseball Draft, is 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA through four appearances with the Naturals. He earned a promotion thanks to a dominant early season stint with the Wilmington Blue Rocks of the Carolina League.
