Game comes down to wire with Spartanburg Methodist College as Indians win 69-67 on Jackson free-throws

The USC Salkehatchie Indians lead at the half 39-38 as the tried to right the ship after a 3-game losing streak. The Indians trailed by 12 at one point in the 1st half but fought back to go up by one as time expired to end the half.

In the second half, the Indians trailed most of the half but remained close as they headed down the stretch. In the last minute of the game, the Indians had a chance to go up by two but a missed one and one byLouis Hargrove gave the Pioneers a chance.

With under 25 seconds, SMC decided to go for the games final shot with a 6-second difference between the game and shot clock. SMC missed their final shot and as sophomore Darnell Jackson rebounded for USC Salkehatchie, he was fouled and would be shooting two.

Jackson would sink both and with six seconds SMC was able to drive for one final shot but it also would come up short.

The USC Salkehatchie Indians are now 14-13 and 6-3 in Region X. SMC falls to 17-7 and 5-4 in Region X.

The Indians will be back in action on Wednesday night against Aiken Technical College at 7:30 pm.
