USC Salkehatchie women fall 2-0 to Cape Fear and USC Salkehatchie men fall 4-0 to #1 seed SMC in Region X semi-finals



If playing the #1 seed on the women's side wasn't enough, the Lady Indians had to fight the pouring rain and a temperature of 37 degrees. The Lady Indians played extremely well in the first half, forcing a 0-0 tie at the half.



Cape Fear would finally break through in the second half with 28:27 left. The would go on to score another goal late, giving them a 2-0 victory. Cape Fear moves on to the Region X women's championship on Sunday.




The USC Salkehatchie men came out with all intentions of finally breaking through against an SMC team that had beat them twice in the regular season.




The Indians defense stood tall until 28:13 left in the first half, when SMC struck first.

The Indians had several chances on goal in the first half but were unable to capitalize.

SMC would strike again before the half with 11:31 left to lead 2-0, the score would remain the same at the half.

In the second half SMC would add two more to earn a 4-0 victory and they move on to the Region X championship game on Sunday.
