Indians find comfort of home in tough 83-69 win over Denmark Technical College

The Indians knew from their last meeting that Denmark Technical wasn't the Denmark Tech of old. The Indians would trail 2-0 after the opening jumpball but would not trail again in the first half.
"I don't know if it was the layoff with the weather but we weren't ready. I know that we are a much better team than we showed tonight," said USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett.

The Indians lead 31-39 at the half.

In the second half, the Indians would fall behind by as many as six but would retake the lead with 5:38 left 64-61.
It was down the stretch the Indians would pull ahead for good behind the three point shooting of Chris Brown. Brown would end up with six three pointers for a total of 25-points.
"We finally realized that we were in a fight with five minutes left, we can't continue to do that down the stretch, it doesn't matter how good you are, you have to come to play every night," said Garrett.

The Indians would earn the win by a final of 83-69.
The Indians are now 16-10 overall and 4-3 in Region X.
