USC Salkehatchie Indians soccer programs have rough day against Louisburg College

The USC Salkehatchie men's soccer team went first against Louisburg College early at 1:00 pm. The Indians were unable to score against Louisburg (ranked in the NJCAA top 25) but Louisburg was able to push across 7 goals in the game. The Indians will be back in action Monday against Gordon College at home in Allendale, SC at 5:00 PM.

In Lady's action, the Lady Indians found themselves over matched early as the Louisburg women were able to score 2 goals to start the game. The Lady Indians made the game close in the first half on a goal by freshman Shannon Shaffer (Hampton, South Carolina) making the score 2-1.

Late in the first, Louisburg added two more to lead 4-1 at the break. In the second half, the Louisburg women had their way scoring 3 more to win the game 7-1.

The Lady Indians will be back in action on Monday October 12th against Gordon College at 3:00 PM at home in Allendale, SC.
