Men fall to Louisburg, women victorious 2-0


The USC Salkehatchie men started the afternoon off in Allendale, South Carolina against Louisburg College, NC. The Indians drew first blood when David Williams found the net. Louisburg would respond toward the end of the first half and the score was all knotted up 1-1 at the half.
Louisburg College came out the second half and scored several goals to earn a 3-1 victory over the Indians.
On the women's side, the Indians would score two early goals on penalty kicks, the first from Zaf Papanikitas scoring her first collegiate goal. The second came from sophomore Ashur-Eden Amai.
The score at the half was USC Salkehatchie 2, Louisburg College 0.
No one would find the net again in the second half.
The Indians will be back in action this Wednesday against USC Sumter another Region X foe. The men will take the pitch at 3:00 and the women will follow at 5:00 pm.
