Indians defeat Denmark Technical College 95-90. Extend winning streak to 8-games~


The USC Salkehatchie Indians men's basketball team continued their winning ways tonight at home against Denmark Technical College, 95-90. In the first half, their were 13 lead changes as the game went back and forth between two rivals. The Panthers would enjoy a 2-point lead at the half, 41-43.




To start the 2nd half, the Indians built a 10-point lead 55-45 with 16:25 left. Denmark Tech would roar back to an 80-77 advantage with 7:00 left in the game.




The Indians would retake the lead for the last time with 1:44 left and would never look back, eventually winning by a final of 95-90.




"I was upset with how we played in the first half, we had opportunity's but didn't take advantage if them but Denmark Technical did. We came out strong in the second half and built a big lead but we allowed them to fight back. Denmark Tech has a strong team and the next game against them will be a challenge, no doubt" said USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett.
