Indians winning streak still intact, now at 11-games after 88-69 victory over Brunswick CC


The USC Salkehatchie Indians continued their winning ways this afternoon against Brunswick CC with a 88-69 victory over the Dolphins. Today's win improves the Indians to 12-11 and 4-0 in Region X play, it was their 11th victory in a row.


The Indians scored the opening points when Joel Mondo sank one of two free-throws to open the game. Cape Fear CC would come right back down on their next possesion and score on a Lattrell Royster jump shot.


Cape Fear would retain the lead throughout the first half but with 7:15 remaining, sophomore Darnell Jackson would take over for the Indians and get the lead. Brunswick CC would regain the lead only once more in the entire game and that came with 4:19 left 30-29.


The Indians lead Brunswick CC at the half, 44-34.


In the second half, it was all USC Salkehatchie as they would go on a 15-0 run and never look back eventually winning the contest, 88-69. The Indians are now 12-10 on the season and 4-0 in Region X play.
Brunswick CC falls to 3-2 in Region X play.
