Symone Nettles signs with Charleston Southern University to play softball

USC Salkehatchie sophomore softball player Symone Nettles (Lamar, South Carolina) has signed to play with Charleston Southern University in Charleston, South Carolina.
Symone becomes the first USC Salkehatchie softball player to sign with a Division 1 school.
USC Salkehatchie head coach Mitch Smith said, "I am so proud of Symone, she has worked very hard since arriving at USC Salkehatchie and she deserves this. I knew when I first saw her that she was going to special, she is a special player and a great kid. She has always been a team player and I know she will do well at Charleston Southern."
Symone was named as the player of the week last season by the NJCAA, the first such honor by a USC Salkehatchie softball player. She broke a USC Salkehatchie softball record by recording 3- home runs in a single game.
This season she is currently batting .361 this season and leads the team with 2 home runs and is second in RBI's with 18.
