Former USC Salkehatchie Indian baseball player, Carlos Santana named to SCBL All-Star team~ (Western Division)


Former USC Salkehatchie Indians shortstop Carlos Santana (Santo Domingo, DR) was selected as a member of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League All-Star team (Western Division). During the all-star game held in Spartanburg, South Carolina; Santana was 1-3 with a walk and scored both West runs, coming around on a single by Asheville’s Chris Allen in the seventh against the Owls’ Brennan Daniels. Only Santana hit safely representing the Tornado.
Santana plays on the Tennessee Tornado's. His 17 RBIs lead the team, along with his 24 overall hits, .552 slugging percentage and perfect 9-9 stolen base record. He’s tied for the most home runs with two, and his .358 is second behind Kenny Stalls’ .368.
Santana has committed to play with Tusculum University in the fall where he will join former USC Salkehatchie Indian Branfy Arias.
