USC Salkehatchie men's basketball drops opener at Coastal Georgia 86-73

The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball program traveled to Coastal Georgia College on Monday night for the opening game of the 2010-2011 season.

USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett knew that the game would be an uphill battle for the Indians.
His prediction came true once the final buzzer went off as the Indians fell to 0-1 on the season, losing 86-73.

"I knew we would have some trouble going in but I wasn't happy with how we played the game. The guys have to understand that when we break a team down, I know what they are going to try and do and we have to be ready to stop them. I have a lot of young players that have to learn that you can't practice one way and expect to turn it on, once the game starts," said USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett.

The Indians will travel this weekend to participate in the ATC Tip-off Classic they will play on Nov. 5th against Gulf Coast at 5:30 pm and again on Nov 6 at 2pm vs. Central FL-
