USC Salkehatchie men drop first game of the season to SMC

The USC Salkehatchie men brought a 2-0 record in to today's match-up against Region X foe, Spartanburg Methodist College.

The game was all knotted up until 28:37 left in the first half when SMC scored from about 8 yards out to take a 1-0 lead.

USC Salkehatchie looked as though they had scored 2-goals in the first half but both would be negated by offsides penalties.

The score would remain 1-0 SMC at the half.

In the second half, the Indians Jack Jemison tied the game at 1 all with a header in the back of the net.

Things would cruise right along until SMC struck again with 20:23 left in the second half, to take a 2-1 lead.

The final goal of the day would go to SMC with 8:18 left in the game.

The final was SMC 3, USC Salkehatchie 1.

The Indians will be back in action next Saturday September 10th at HOME against Middle Georgia, game time is scheduled for 3:00 pm.

The will play again on Sunday September 11th at Georgia Military at 4:00 pm.
