Lady Indians defeat USC Lancaster-Soccer Update

Congratulations to the USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians on their win yesterday over USC Lancaster, 5-2.

In a hard fought game, the Lady Indians prevailed after falling behind 2-0 early in the match.

"They were shortening the field by pushing up their backs aggressively,” said Head Salkehatchie Soccer Coach Bill Glass, “this made it easier for their mid-fielders to both attack and defend, it also made it hard for us to play our possession game and stay on side.”

The Lady Indians pulled back within a goal when Emily Pruitt (Dallas, Georgia) struck pay-dirt right before the half.

Emily Pruitt would end the day with a total of 4-goals. Yahimar Lai (Beaufort, South Carolina) would score the Lady Indians other goal in the game.

The Lady Indians play their final game of the regular season as they prepare for the Region X, at Louisburg College, kick off is at 3 pm.
