Indians 2-1 in Region X action!

The USC Salkehatchie Indians basketball team head coach Travis Garrett must feel as though the basketball god's are smiling down on his team. After having a rough first half in which his team won only 2-games, the Indians have won 4-games in a row and are 2-1 in Region X.

"I knew that once we got into region play things would get better. I have always scheduled tough non-conference games, it does nothing but make the team better, said Coach Travis Garrett.

It seems that Coach Garrett's formula is working as his team defeated Cape Fear CC last night 90-80 for his teams second region win in as many games.

The Indians will look to extend their winning ways this coming Monday night against Region X opponent Denmark Technical College.

It should be an exciting match-up with the two schools in such close proximity of one another.

Coach Garrett expects a large turnout for Monday's game, "We should have a large crowd on hand for this game. In the past it has been one of our larger crowds and the game is always one to watch."

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
