USC Salkehatchie women's head softball coach Mitch Smith announced that he has added a double header to his 2009 spring schedule today against the Mercyhurst North East Saints.
Mercyhurst North East is located in North East, Pennsylvania. Last season, the Saints finished with a 25-15 overall record, they compete in the NJCAA-Region XIX.
Coach Smith was excited about the chance to play the Saints, "It is always great to play schools from out of state. It gives our girls and their girls, a chance to see what kind of talent we have in JUCO from around the country. It should be a great game with a very talented Mercyhurst North East team, I am really looking forward to it."
The game which will be a double-header is scheduled for March 1st, 2009 with the first game starting at 1pm and the second scheduled for 3pm.
