Former USC Salkehatchie Indians waiting to see if MLB team will call their name in this years draft.

Several former USC Salkehatchie Indians are sitting and waiting to see if their names will be called during this years Major League Baseball draft.

The players waiting for a chance to be drafted this season are Oliver Santos (Tusculum University), Branfy Arias (Tusculum University), Travis Howard (USC Aiken), Ali Williams (Charleston Southern University) and Gary Owens (USC Aiken).

The MLB draft lasts three days, as round one kicked off on Tuesday, the draft has a total of 50 rounds, so the former USC Salkehatchie players have a great chance of being picked up by a Major League team.

I will keep the fans posted as soon as I hear that a former USC Salkehatchie player gets drafted. I hope that you will be sure to check back here on the blog often and be sure to sign up for alerts with Twitter, you will contacted as soon as a tweet is sent using this service.
