Indians fall to Polk State, fall to 4-8 on season

The Indians played hard last night against Polk State in the Holiday Inn Classic according to USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett, " We actually played great tonight. I was pleased with the over-all effort but we committed too many turnovers and we have to get rebounds."

The Indians lost by a final of 76-65.

The Indians were out rebounded by Polk State 48-23, something coach Garrett says can't happen, " When you play a good team like Polk State, you have to assert yourselves on the boards, we got beat on them last night. It is unacceptable 12-games into the season."

Another concern for coach Garrett was turnovers, " We committed 19-turnovers in the game, it is hard to win if you don't protect the ball better. I hope that we come out tonight and correct the mistakes we made against Polk State."
Leading the Indians:
Fred Hargrove~ 15 points
Brandon Riley~ 14 points

The Indians will be back in action this afternoon at 5:00 pm against IMG.

Aiken Tech (SC) will face Polk State in game 2 at 7:00 pm.
