The USC Salkehatchie Indians got back on track tonight against IMG in the Polk State Holiday Inn Classic. Last night the Indians lost to Polk State in their opening game but tonight they got the win over IMG 84-57.
" I was very pleased with our over-all game today. We cut down on the mistakes and we got back on defense, something we have worked hard on as of late. I hope we do well in our Holiday Classic at home this weekend, it should be enjoyable," said USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett.
The Indians improve to 5-8 with their win today over IMG.
Two Indians win tournament awards~
Brandon Riley and Fred Hargrove were named to the Polk State Holiday Classic All-Tournament team. It was their hard work for the Indians in the two games that won them the honor, according to coach Garrett~" I was thrilled with the way Fred and Brandon played for us. It was great to see the effort the put forth in both games. I look for them to be the leaders down the stretch."
