USC Salkehatchie drops 2nd home game of season 77,66 to College of Coastal Georgia

The USC Salkehatchie Indians started the game slow again tonight at home in Walterboro, South Carolina. The Indians trailed 12-2 to start the game but fought back to take the lead 15-14 with 9:15 left in the first half. Coastal Georgia stormed back and lead at the half, 39-23.

In the second half, the Indians fell behind 53-39 with 8:42 left in the game but would pull within 7-points 65-58 with 3:58 remaining.

"It is the same story, different game. We have to learn to take care of the basketball and take advantage of opportunities. We have to become more focused and ready to play come game time. It is now up to the kids, if they want to win they have to learn to put forth the effort. With that said, I did see some bright spots tonight, Quincy Washington came off the bench and produced. I hope we can get other players involved and ready to play," said USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett.

The Indians would stay around 10-points down for the remainder of the game and would eventually fall, 77-66.
