The USC Salkehatchie Indians continued their winning ways after a rough start to the season in Florida. The Indians were victorious over Sante Fe College tonight 70-61 in Florida.The Indians started the season 1-10 but since that rocky start, the Indians have reeled off 5 straight wins.
Leading the Indians tonight,
Donald Simms 15 -points, 9-rebounds, Chris Rhodes 13- points and Nate Drayton 11- points and 8- rebounds.
USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett said, "We have a long way to go but I have to say that I am pleased with our progress. We had to get our legs up under us and we are finally playing as a unit. I just hope the guys understand we have a ways to go and will continue to work towards getting better with every game."
The Indians will wrap up their 2010 part of the schedule tomorrow in Florida against College of Central Florida at 4:00 pm (New Years Eve).
College of Central Florida comes into the contest with a 13-3 record, while the Indians are now 6-10.
