USC Salkehatchie fall short in bid against Middle Georgia at home~

The USC Salkehatchie Indians came out flat against Middle Georgia tonight in Walterboro, South Carolina. The Indians trailed the entire game, never leading once in the contest. In the first half it was all Warriors as they lead at the half 40-18.

In the second half the Indians came out with a a little pep in their step as they closed the gap as they cut the lead to 13-points. The Indians were able to draw within 10-points with 2:50 left in the game, the score at that point was 66-76.

The Warriors were about to pull away for one final time and would go on to get the win, 86-66.

USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett said, " I am upset right now, we have got to get better. I have been here for three years now and tonight was the worse effort I have got from one of my teams. In the second half things got better to start the half but we have to have a complete effort for the entire game. We will have our hands full this weekend against Cape Fear Community College and Brunswick, we play like we did tonight and we will get embarrassed."

The Indians travel to play Cape Fear on Friday night to start the Region X portion of their schedule and then on to Region X rival Brunswick Community College on Saturday.
