The USC Salkehatchie mens basketball team will look to rebound from last nights loss as they head into Region X play~

The USC Salkehatchie Indians men's basketball team will head to North Carolina as they prepare to defend their regular season Region X regular season title.

They start on Friday by taking on co-Region X regular season champion Cape Fear Community College at 7:00 pm in Wilmington, North Carolina. Last season, the Indians split with Cape Fear Community College. In the first game played on 1/16/2009 the Indians won 90-80, in game two played on 2/13/2009 the Indians fell 70-57.

Cape Fear CC enters the contest with an overall record of 10-2, while the Indians are 6-11.

On Saturday the Indians will travel one hour away to Brunswick Community College in Supply, North Carolina. Last year the Indians were swept in the series.

USC Salkehatchie head coach Travis Garrett said, " We have a lot of work to do, I was disappointed with how we played last night against Middle Georgia. We will have to play or A-plus game if we expect to compete this weekend. We have the talent to play with anyone but again it all comes back to the players and whether they want to show up or not."

Once we get scores and updates from the games, I will post them on the blog.
