#4 seed Lady Indians fall to #5 seed Pitt Community College in game 1

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians might have had a better understanding of the Pitt Community College team if they had played as scheduled back earlier in the season but things never fell into play and the two teams never had the chance to meet during the regular season.

In today's first round match-up the Lady Indians were unable to mount a rally to win against the Lady Bulldogs. Pitt Community College scored 2-runs in the first inning on several errors by the Lady Indians.
The Lady Indians trailed 2-0 going into the 6th inning and in the top half, they allowed Pitt CC to score one more insurance run.

The Lady Indians had several chances throughout the games with runners in scoring position but they were unable to produce any runs against the Lady Bulldogs.

The Lady Indians will now face Southeastern CC at 10:00 am in the morning (Saturday). The game will be on talk.shoe.com by following link below.

Once again, the Lady Indians will face a must win situation and if they win against Southeastern, they will face the loser of Stanly CC-Spartanburg Methodist College at 12:15.

If the Lady Indians win that game, they would have to play again at 4:45 for the chance to play 3-more games on Sunday (Possibly 4-games if the team going into the title game, does not have a loss going into the final game).

It will be a tough road to make it to the championship game but if any team in USC Salkehatchie history can do it, it will be these USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians.
I am proud of what they have accomplished this season and in no-way do I believe the season is over because of today's set-back. It will take the Lady Indians digging deep inside and wanting to win.
