USC Salkehatchie has two baseball players make 2008-2009 All-Region team for Region X


The USC Salkehatchie baseball program is proud to annouce that it has two players on the 2008-2009 all-region team for Region X.






Sophomore-Oliver Santos (Santo Domingo, D.R.) has made the first team as an infielder. Santos finished the season with a .453 batting average in 161-at bats. He also lead the team in home runs with 8 on the season.



Oliver finished the regular season ranked # 21 in hitting in the entire NJCAA.






Making the second team all-region X sophomore-Branfi Arias (La Romana, D.R.) as an outfielder.



Arias hit .371 in 167 at bats on the season. Arias was ranked # 24 by the entire NJCAA in stolen bases.



Congratulations to both these young men on their fine seasons and we wish them the best as they continue their playing careers.
