Indians baseball takes game 2 from Limestone College JV~




The USC Salkehatchie Indians offense once again came alive today with a 3-run home run by sophomore Javon Sanders (Rembert, South Carolina) in game 2. Also in the game sophomore Korey Ahrens (Newberry, South Carolina) had two doubles.


The Indians winning pitcher in game 2 was freshman Bert Knox (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina) he is now 1-2 on the season.


In game 1 in which the Indians won 9-6, freshman Terrance Devoe (Augusta, Georgia) picked up the win. Devoe is now 2-1 on the mound.


Leading the Indians in at the plate in game 1 was freshman Robert Assemany (Chapin, South Carolina) with three doubles, sophomore Carlito Santana (Santo Domingo, DR) and sophmore Javon Sanders (Rembert, South Carolina) with a double.


The Indians are 8-11-1 overall and 4-3-1 in Region X.


The Indians resume Region X play this weekend when they host Florence-Darlington Technical College in Allendale, South Carolina.


Double headers are scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday with the first pitch expected to be thrown at 1:00 pm each day.
