The USC Salkehatchie baseball team continued play this past week with seven games in six days. The Indians went 4-3 during the week, and currently have an overall record of 12-9 and a 7-3 record in Region X play. The conference mark keeps them at fourth in the league.

Several USC Salkehatchie players remain ranked among the leaders in Region X. A few can also be found in the national rankings.
Oliver Santos (Santo Domingo, DR) is currently fourth in the league in hitting. His .455 batting average is good for 46th overall in the country. Santos is tied for fourth in the league in RBI (23), tied for 10th in homeruns (3), and fourth in slugging percentage (.803).
Bryan Parsons (Spartanburg, SC) is currently 13th in the league in hitting (.415). He is also tied for fourth the league in RBI (23).
Cameron Louis (Conway, SC) is 16th in Region X with a .403 batting average.
Branfy Arias (La Romana, DR) is also listed in the Region X leaders. Arias is second in the league in stolen bases (10). He is tied for 48th nationally in saves (1) and steals.
Ali Williams (Sumter, SC) is currently third in the league in strikeouts (34) and is tied for seventh in the league in wins (3).
Mark Henderson’s (North Charleston, SC) 35 punch outs are the second most in Region X.
As a team, USC Salkehatchie is also listed in the top five in the conference in various categories. The Indians are third in runs scored (146), third in hits (197), fourth in homeruns (14), fourth in innings pitched (151), fourth in strikeouts (114), and have given up the fifth fewest walks (50) on the season. Their .314 team batting average is good for fifth in the league, and it places them in a tie for 48th in the country. They are also tied for 42nd in the NJCAA with a .571 winning percentage.
