Indians baseball fall in game one to #2 team in NJCAA-Spartanburg Methodist




The Indians baseball team has fallen to #2 ranked (NJCAA) Spartanburg Methodist by a final score 4-2, in game one of a scheduled double-header.




On the mound for the Indians today was sophomore Mark Henderson 3-4 (North Charleston, SC), he threw a complete game 7.0 innings, giving up 7-hits, 4 runs-all earned and 5-strikeouts.


For the Spartanburg Methodist Pioneers freshman-Jimmy Revan (Chesnee, SC) now 7-1 on the season went 6.1 innings, giving up 2-runs both earned and 1-walk with 9-strike-outs.

Sophomore Patrick Mincey (Hartsville, SC) came in for relief of Revan and threw 0.2 innings, facing only 2-batters.
Leading the Indians at the plate:
Freshman-Carlos Santana (Santo Domingo, D.R.) 2-3, 2-RBI's
Sophomore-Randolph Brown ( Seabrook, SC) 2-3
Freshman-Bryan Parsons (Spartanburg, SC) 1-3


Leading the Pioneers at the plate:
Sophomore-Arturo Mogrezutt (Easley, SC) 2-3
Sophomore- Ross Hannah (Greer, SC) 1-3, 3 RBI's and a home-run (2nd on season)

The Indians and Pioneers are getting set for game two as I type this, as soon as Game 2 is over, I will post the results on the blog.
