USC Salkehatchie VS Pitt Community College (Baseball) at home this weekend!


The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie baseball team will be hosting Pitt Community College at home in Allendale, South this weekend.

The series will kick-off on Saturday (double-header) at 1:00 and the first game will be broadcast on WDOG "The Big Dog) 93.5 and over the Internet by clicking on the link below and looking on the right hand side of the main page and clicking on Salk Baseball .

They will again meet up on Sunday for another double-header, the first game on Sunday is set to start at 12:00 pm. On Sunday the Indians will be selling Bar-B-Q chicken dinners for those in attendance and the public is invited to come and get take-out dinners. Prior to Sunday's first game around 11:45, the USC Salkehatchie athletic department will be recognizing it sophomore's prior to the game.


The Indians come into this weekend's series with an over-all record of 23-25 and 13-15 in Region X.

They had a tough weekend last week against Region X rival USC Sumter in Sumter, South Carolina as they were swept in the weekend series.

Pitt Community College comes into the series ranked #18 by the NJCAA. The Bulldogs lost 3 out of 4 games against USC Sumter on April 10th-11th. Then April 18th and April 19th, the Bulldogs lost 3 of 4 against Spartanburg Methodist.



They enter this weekend's match-up with the Indians with an over-all record of 29-6 and in Region X the Bulldogs are 19-6.

It should be a very exciting weekend of baseball in Allendale, South Carolina and this is the final weekend series for the Indians this season.

If you haven't had the chance to get out to the ballpark, I hope you will do so this weekend, the Indians have several players on their roster that have a good chance to be drafted by the MLB either this season or once they move on to their next school, either way you will witness some of the best baseball in the area.
