USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians Soccer Program, Signs D-II Transfer

Brooke Jackson signed a letter of intent on Sunday April 19th to play soccer at USC Salkehatchie, becoming the second member of her family to play college soccer. Brooke's sister Ashley attended North Greenville on a soccer scholarship.Jackson, a 5-foot-10 forward, was an All-Region selection three times in soccer, twice in volleyball and once in basketball while at Union High School in Union, South Carolina. Jackson, scored 148 goals during her high school soccer career but might be best remembered for kicking a 45 yard field goal for the Union High School football team. Brooke still holds the South Carolina state record for the longest field goal kicked by a girl for that 45 yarder.

“We are really excited that Brooke has chosen USC Salkehatchie,” said Salkehatchie Head Soccer Coach Bill Glass, “She is a young lady of sterling character and high ethical standards who will help us continue to build the strong moral foundation we want for this program.” Jackson who played soccer for a year at Anderson College after graduating from Union High School in 2007 is known as a player with a great read on the game. Jackson’s intelligent play off the ball oftentimes puts her in the right place at the right time to find net.
