Pioneers snap Indians 8-game win streak

The USC Salkehatchie men's basketball team let an 18-points slip away against Spartanburg Methodist last night in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The Indians lead 37 to 19 at the half but according to head coach Travis Garrett, sloppy play and strong play by the Pioneers in the second half; lead to the Indians first loss in 8-games.
"I told the kids at half-time that we had to come out prepared to play hard. I had watched the film of the Pioneers against Aiken Tech earlier in the season in which they were down 20-points at the half and almost came back and won. I knew this could happen if we didn't stay focused. We have to go back to the drawing board and get focused on Denmark-Tech next week," said coach Garrett.

The Indians will be back in action February 10th against Denmark-Technical College in Denmark, South Carolina. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
