USC Salkehatchie Softball-splits on opening day at Ringor Invitational today










The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians started off the Ringor Invitational Tournament in Aiken, South Carolina with a bang today, scoring 14-runs against Patrick Henry Community College while giving up no runs. The win was historic as it marked the first time in school history that the team was over .500 at any point during a season.

In the Lady Indians second game, they were unable to prodouce any offense but they were able to hold one of the most potent offenses in the NJCAA-Georgia Perimeter to only 4-runs. Georgia Perimeter is ranked #21 in the NJCAA National Poll.

February 21 ~Truett McConell 1 Aiken, SC 10:00 am

The Lady Indians will face Truett McConell for the third time this season on Saturday. They met back on February 6th in Allendale, South Carolina for a double-header. In game one, the USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians won by a final score of 4-2 behind the pitching of sophomore Cea Knox. In game two, the Lady Indians lead throughout much of the contest but in the end the fell by a final score of 6-4.

Saturday's match-up should be one of the more exciting games for the USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians fan and one you surely don't want to miss.
