USC Salkehatchie basketball program holds celebration for sophomore players

In a night that started as a celebration, ended in celebration with a 71-65 victory over Spartanburg Methodist college.

To start the night, the USC Salkehatchie athletic department and USC Salkehatchie head basketball coach Travis Garrett presented the team's eight sophomore players with a team plague that recognized all their hard work both on the court and in the classroom while at USC Salkehatchie.

Tonight's game was the last to be played at home by this group of young men and in front of a capacity crowd, they celebrated their time at USC Salkehatchie with family and friends at mid-court prior to the game.

On behalf of the USC Salkehatchie athletic department and myself, we would like to thank each and every one of you for all your hard work in making USC Salkehatchie one of the premier teams in Region X.

I would also like to thank the families of these players for allowing them to attend USC Salkehatchie and putting your trust in us over the past two season.

Again each and every one of these players will be truly missed as a member of the USC Salkehatchie basketball team and even more as a member of the USC Salkehatchie "Family".
