USC Salkehatchie Indians Baseball Splits at South Georgia











The USC Salkehatchie Indians baseball team won game one of a double-header in Douglas, Georgia against South Georgia, the final score USC Salkehatchie 10, South Georgia 3.



In the 6th inning freshman catcher Bryan Parsons-Spartanburg, South Carolina- hit a grand-slam that put the Indians ahead. Mark Henderson sophomore pitcher from North Charleston threw a complete game for the Indians. He gave up 1-earned run, 4-hits and recorded 8-strikeouts.

In game two, the Indians were in the contest throughout but as they were unable to get the bats going, they lost by a final of 3-1. Ali Williams-Sumter, South Carolina went for the Indians on the mound, he threw a complete game giving up 2-earned runs, 2-walks and he recorded 6-strikeouts.

The Indians will be back in action tomorrow at South Georgia for the deciding game of the weekend series. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
