It may have been freezing outside with snow falling the likes that hasn't been since in years in our area but inside it was hot with both teams fighting for first place. In the first half, the Indians lead throughout much of the half and with a buzzer beating shot by Mari Konate, the Indians lead 39-36 at the intermission.
In the second half the #25 ranked Sea Devils took control after trailing for less than a minute and never looked back until 1:22 left in the contest. The Indians cut the lead to 74-73 and it looked as though the magic that has been with team throughout the season would once again visit the Indians at home.
However, Cape Fear went on a 12-2 run to end the game and earn the victory over the Indians.
The Indians fall to 11-13 and 5-3 in Region X.
