USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians drop close one against #2 in NJCAA~Coach Smith pleased~

The USC Salkehatchie Lady Indians entered the Aiken Technical College Mizuno Invitational knowing they would have to face the #2 in the nation~Walters State.

At 11:00 am this morning the Lady Indians came out and played a great game according to USC Salkehatchie head coach Mitch Smith, " Walters State had a very good pitcher and we couldn't get anything going until the 7th inning when Symone Nettles singled Quita Wilson followed with a walk. Both base runners would advance on a pass ball but we couldn't get the bats going at the right times."

Leading the Lady Indians was Symone Nettles 2-3.

Leigha Hite took the loss for the lady indians giving up 4-hits and 1-earned run.

The Lady Indians will be back in action this afternoon at 4:00 pm against Young Harris in Aiken, South Carolina at the Aiken Technical College Mizuno Invitational.
