First Baptist senior and Ladson resident Kevin Collins (front row, third from left) has signed a letter of intent to play college baseball for the USC Salkehatchie Indians. He was joined at the recent signing by his mother Ginger Collins (counter clockwise from left of Collins), brother Kristopher Collins, First Baptist Headmaster Tommy Mullins, father John Collins, First Baptist baseball coach King Walker, First Baptist athletics director Will McCombs, SC Storm coach Tony Osterman and USC Salkehatchie baseball coach Bubba Dorman. Ladson resident Kevin Collins has committed to play college baseball for USC Salkehatchie.

Collins (6-2), is a senior right-handed pitcher and outfielder for First Baptist School in Charleston.
Kevin has played baseball since he was four years old. He played recreational baseball for the City of Goose Creek, played on the 2009 SCISA Class AA state championship team and in the USA Perfect Games.
He currently plays travel ball for the South Carolina Storm, which has been instrumental in helping him gain an offer from USC Salkehatchie coach Bubba Dorman.
